Sean Patton opened his Aldershot account in a 3-0 Enterprise National League victory at Hartlepool.
Patton, who only joined on loan from Reading on Friday, fired the opener by stabbing home a rebound into an empty net.
The 19-year-old Irishman scored 13 minutes into first-half stoppage time after lengthy stoppages for a clash of heads and an injury to one of the linesman.
Charlie Warren then produced the second goal early in the second half by driving home with a first-time finish before Kwame Thomas completed the rout late on.
