Barnet produced a sumptuous performance to end their six-game winless league run, thrashing Bristol Rovers 4–0 at The Hive.
The home side took the lead inside 15 minutes when Ryan Glover whipped a tremendous cross into the box, with Adam Senior’s towering header beating Bristol Rovers goalkeeper Luke Southwood.
Moments later, the visitors capitalised on a lapse in concentration from the Barnet defence, but Luke Thomas fired off target.
Seven minutes later, the Pirates had another chance through Fabrizio Cavegn, who saw his low shot brilliantly saved by the Bees’ keeper Cieran Slicker down to his left.
The Bees doubled their lead on the half-hour when Nnamdi Ofoborh teed himself up before unleashing a sublime strike that flew into the net.
With 12 minutes remaining, the Bees were awarded a penalty after Mark Shelton was fouled inside the box, and he calmly converted the spot-kick by sending Southwood the wrong way. The home side then added a fourth when Callum Stead slotted home from close range to seal the win.
