Boreham Wood stretched their unbeaten run in the National League to 13 games with a 2-0 win over Eastleigh at Meadow Park.

Abdul Abdulmalik scored his fourth goal of the season in the 53rd minute and Lewis Richardson wrapped up victory nine minutes from time.

Eastleigh, who went into the match unbeaten in four, started well with Kieron Evans twice coming close in the first half-hour.

Jeff King had a free-kick tipped over by Eastleigh goalkeeper Nick Townsend, and Abdulmalik pounced after the break after bursting through the visitors’ defence.

Zak Brunt brought another save out of Townsend before Richardson grabbed his side’s second after a dangerous cross from Abdulmalik.
