Promotion hopefuls Boreham Wood had two players sent off as Boston boosted their hopes of avoiding National League relegation with a come-from-behind 2-1 win.

Abdul Abdulmalik put the Wood in front just before half-time but their opponents were gifted a penalty six minutes after the restart when last man Femi Ilesanmi pulled back Ken Aboh in the box.

Ilesanmi was given his marching orders and Lenell John-Lewis levelled from the spot, but he injured himself minutes later and was replaced by Jordy Hiwula just before the hour.

Regan Booty then became the second Boreham player to see red and Hiwula had the final say in the 81st minute by crashing in the rebound as Boston moved up to 17th, albeit still only two points above the drop following Braintree’s win over Eastleigh.
