Joe Nuttall fired a second-half double as Morecambe cruised to a 4-0 win at Boston to climb off the foot of the National League table.

The Shrimps, relegated last season, halted a six-game winless as Nuttall notched a double after Jack Cain and Gwion Edwards had given them a 2-0 half-time lead.

Cain collected a loose ball on the edge of the penalty area and fired the visitors into a 15th-minute lead before Edwards converted from a rebound six minutes before the interval.

Nuttall headed home Morecambe’s third early in the second period from Jack Nolan’s corner and made no mistake from the penalty spot five minutes later after Boston defender Marcel Lavinier had handled.
