Braintree boosted their Enterprise National League survival hopes with a 2-1 win over out-of-form Eastleigh.
After Eastleigh had a goal from Luis Fernandez disallowed for offside, Braintree – having lost three of their last five games – took the lead five minutes before half-time as Chay Cooper fired home from just inside the area.
Eastleigh, looking to end a three-match losing run, then saw Harvey Saunders’ effort early in the second half also ruled out for offside before Aaron Blair equalised in the 56th minute.
Braintree, though, found a winner with 15 minutes left when Lewis Walker fired home from Jacob Pinnington’s cross.
