Huddersfield blew a two-goal advantage late on away to Peterborough only for Cameron Humphreys to restore their lead with what proved to be an 89th-minute winner in a 3-2 thriller.

Peterborough dominated possession throughout the first half but failed to make any meaningful chances, and it was Huddersfield who took the lead on the counter-attack as Dion Charles teed up Lasse Sorensen to find the bottom corner.

The visitors doubled their lead two minutes into the second half as Radinio Balker headed home his first goal for the club off Marcus Harness’ corner.

But Peterborough finally sparked to life after 64 minutes, and they pulled one back at the end of an incisive move up the left that saw Harry Leonard hit a post before Kyrell Lisbie finished off the loose ball.

James Dornelly thought he had rescued a point for the Posh five minutes from time as he headed home a flicked-on set piece.

But there was one more twist to come as Ipswich loanee Humphreys got free in the box to win it for Huddersfield with a fine finish.
