Promotion hopefuls Carlisle returned to form as they put away Hartlepool 3-1 at Brunton Park.
The Cumbrians have been stung by back-to-back defeats against York and Rochdale but bounced back well, Cameron Harper putting them ahead in the fourth minute as he marked his first goal for the club on his 50th appearance.
Jermaine Francis capitalised on some ragged defending to level the scores in the opening moments of the second half, but Mark Hughes’ men rallied to chase down the win to go third.
Georgie Kelly got on the end of the Harper delivery to restore the lead in the 77th minute and defender Morgan Feeney stepped off the bench to nod home the third late on.
