Elliot Osborne’s first-half penalty was enough to earn Altrincham a first National League win in nine matches.

Altrincham’s Tom Crawford had a header ruled out for offside before conceding a penalty for bringing down Jordy Hiwula. Luke Hutchinson came to the rescue to deny Hiwula from the spot.

Altrincham were awarded a penalty themselves in the 35th minute when Kahrel Reddin was fouled and Osborne made no mistake, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.

Keeper Hutchinson preserved Alty’s lead with fine saves to deny Alex Lankshear and then Kieren Donnelly twice, the Boston striker’s second chance an overhead kick which was turned onto the crossbar.
