Tottenham headed back to London to prepare for a trophy parade after their Europa League triumph, while Manchester United returned home facing more questions over the future direction of the club.
In Scotland, relegation-threatened Ross County grabbed a 1-1 draw away to Livingston in the first leg of the William Hill Premiership play-off through a stoppage-time penalty from Ronan Hale.
Friday will see England manager Thomas Tuchel name his next squad, with several clubs also holding press conferences ahead of the final weekend of the Premier League season.
Spurs set to prolong Europa party

Tottenham will celebrate Europa League success with an open-top bus parade around the streets of north London on Friday night.
Brennan Johnson’s 42nd-minute close-range finish helped Spurs edge out Manchester United 1-0 in Bilbao to win the club their first trophy since 2008.
The victory parade is set to begin around 5.30pm at Fore Street in the Edmonton Green region, travel down High Road past Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before it concludes in the stadium’s service yard on Northumberland Park.
The bus trip will last approximately “between 60-90 minutes”, with a staging area to be erected outside the stadium on Paxton Terrace to host the players and coaching staff for a presentation of the trophy to fans.
Ruben Amorim still the man for United

Manchester United remain behind head coach Ruben Amorim despite the damaging Europa League final defeat, the PA news agency understands.
The Red Devils blew their chance to salvage a soul-destroying season as their first European loss of the campaign meant silverware and Champions League qualification slipped through their fingers in Bilbao on Wednesday night.
United’s meek 1-0 defeat at San Mames compounded their worst top-flight campaign since relegation 51 years ago, with the side sat 16th in the table – a point above victors Spurs – heading into Sunday’s season finale at home to Aston Villa.

Amorim has overseen just six Premier League wins since succeeding Erik ten Hag in November and admitted after Wednesday’s costly defeat he would walk away without compensation if the club or fans wanted him to.
Heading into the final, it was believed the Portuguese had the club’s full support irrespective of the outcome against Tottenham.
PA understands Amorim retains the backing of the hierarchy despite the painful loss in Spain.
Spurs skipper Son Heung-Min full of praise for Big Ange

Tottenham captain Son Heung-min has backed manager Ange Postecoglou to remain in charge after the north London club’s victory in Spain, which delivered a first success in Europe since 1984.
Postecoglou has been under huge pressure all season – and even admitted last month the “general sentiment” was he would leave the club even if he claimed European glory.
Son, though, feels the embattled Australian coach has proved his worth.
“He won the trophy. Nobody did it,” Son said. “Look, it’s not up to me or the players, but we just have to look at the facts.
“At the fact that we haven’t won in 17 years and this is the day we finally won it.
“It is the manager who wins the trophy, so we see what is going to happen.”

Ronan Hale scored a stoppage-time penalty as relegation-threatened Ross County salvaged a 1-1 draw away to Livingston in the first leg of the William Hill Premiership play-off.
Championship promotion hopefuls Livi looked on course to be taking a lead to Dingwall for Monday’s second leg after Danny Wilson fired them ahead at the end of the first half.
But the former Liverpool and Rangers defender’s night ended on a sour note when he tugged the shirt of Jordan White – paving the way for County to level the tie late on.
What’s on today?

Ahead of Tottenham’s trophy parade, all eyes will be on Wembley from 11am when England boss Thomas Tuchel is expected to name a strong squad for the World Cup qualifier away to Andorra and friendly with Senegal at the City Ground in June.
A host of Premier League managers will be speaking to the media to preview Sunday’s final fixtures.
Eddie Howe, Enzo Maresca and Arne Slot are all up in the morning with Oliver Glasner and Pep Guardiola part of a busy afternoon schedule.
