Struggling Fylde ended Halifax’s three-match winning run with a 2-1 victory in the National League to move out of the relegation zone.

The visitors took advantage of Wealdstone’s defeat to Tamworth to move two points clear of the bottom four.

Tyler Roberts gave Kevin Phillips’ visitors the lead with a lifted finish over the goalkeeper in the 23rd minute, but Jamie John Cooke levelled from the spot before half-time.

Winger Gavin Massey won a penalty for Fylde after the interval and Nick Haughton stepped up to convert the 55th minute winner.
