Georgie Kelly hit a brace to keep Carlisle’s bid for promotion on track after a 2-1 win over Tamworth at Brunton Park.
The Cumbrians went ahead midway through the first half when Kelly was in the right place at the right time. Chris Conn-Clarke saw his shot saved but Kelly was quickest to react and fired home.
Tamworth drew level with 38 minutes on the clock. Ronan Maher’s ball into the box was met by Jordan Ponticelli and his flicked header went into the corner of the net.
But Kelly won it for Carlisle when he swept in at the back post to convert.
