Yeovil earned a second straight victory in the Enterprise National League with a 2-0 win over Hartlepool, ruining Nicky Featherstone’s first match in permanent charge.

The visitors hit the front in the 14th minute as Luke McCormick broke down the left and picked out Aaron Jarvis in the box who tucked home.

Hartlepool almost had an equaliser when a ball over the top was headed back towards goal by James Daly and wrongfooted Jed Ward but rolled wide.

Yeovil sealed the points late in the piece through McCormick before Jermaine Francis was sent off in stoppage time for the home side as Hartlepool’s seven-game unbeaten run came to an end.
