Ian Henderson had a birthday to remember as promotion-chasing Rochdale celebrated their return to the Crown Oil Arena with a 2-0 victory over struggling Truro.

After seven weeks away due to a pitch rebuild, goals from Tyler Smith and Henderson fired Dale to an eighth win in nine National League games.

On a day when he turned 41, Henderson teed up Smith for a third-minute opener and then put a penalty wide half an hour later after Kyron Gordon was fouled.

But Henderson made amends within minutes as he registered his 164th goal for the club, with Smith returning the favour, and Rochdale also hit the woodwork on four occasions.
