Luton’s play-off push continued as they beat fellow promotion hopefuls Bradford 2-1 at Kenilworth Road.

Town went close inside 10 minutes when Jordan Clark forced Sam Walker into a sprawling stop, before Jenson Metcalfe put a great chance over for the visitors from 10 yards.

Clark then hit the crossbar, before the hosts went in front after 39 minutes when Jake Richards found the net from 20 yards.

They almost had a second but Clark’s attempt deflected over and Teden Mengi dragged an effort wide.

Luton doubled their lead after 55 minutes when Clark set Shayden Morris away and he side-footed the ball beyond Walker.

The Bantams fluffed a glorious chance when Ethan Wheatley went clean through only to shoot at Josh Keeley.

Town should have extended their lead, with Walker denying Gideon Kodua and Clark and Isaiah Jones off target.

Keeley made a superb save from Stephen Humphrys, while Walker kept out Kasey Palmer.

Humphrys pulled a goal back from close range in the last minute of stoppage time, but there was little time for Bradford to find an equaliser.
