Mansfield extended their unbeaten run to eight games but rarely looked like scoring in a dire 0-0 home draw with Wycombe.

Neither goalkeeper was tested during a poor first half which saw Oliver Irow’s effort deflect just over on 14 minutes after he was found by a fine Baily Cargill pass for the home side.

Wanderers won a free-kick in a promising central position 18 yards out after 27 minutes but the home wall did its job to deny Cauley Woodrow.

Soon after, Luke Harris beat Ryan Sweeney to a near-post Dan Casey cross but stabbed his finish wide for the visitors.

Home goalkeeper Liam Roberts finally had work to do on 52 minutes as he dived to his left to keep out a swerving 20-yard half-volley from Caolan Boyd-Munce before Woodrow headed just over.

Roberts got down to keep out a low Jamie Mullins shot after 76 minutes and two minutes later Luke Bolton’s loose pass gifted the ball to Aaron Morley, who was inches wide from 25 yards as both sides drew a blank.
