Brackley tasted National League victory for the first time since November 5 as they upset promotion hopefuls Forest Green.

Michael Nottingham’s first-half goal was enough to secure a 1-0 win for the home side.

Seven league matches have elapsed since a win at Braintree last month, but Brackley were impressive and Nottingham scored when he converted Danny Newton’s cross after 15 minutes.

Harry Isted made a number of fine saves for Forest Green, who struggled to find a way back in and lost ground on leaders Rochdale.
