Nine-man Aldershot snatched a last-gasp equaliser to draw 2-2 at Truro and take something away from their long trip to Cornwall in the Enterprise National League.

James Henry’s penalty in the seventh additional minute came just after Cameron Hargreaves had been booked twice in quick succession to follow goalkeeper Marcus Dewhurst’s dismissal at the end of the first half.

Dewhurst was sent off for clattering into Rekeil Pyke after making a clearance but in the third minute of added time Kwame Thomas headed home Josh Barrett’s free-kick at the far post to put the visitors ahead.

But Shots’ exertions on the road, on Saturday they were 465 miles away at the other end of the country in Gateshead, coupled with their numerical advantage started to count against them as Ryan Law curled home an equaliser off the post.

Tyler Harvey, a goalscorer at the weekend, thought he had given Truro back-to-back wins after five successive defeats when he poked home an 85th-minute corner but Aldershot found the resilience to earn a point.
