Partick Thistle moved level on points with William Hill Championship leaders St Johnstone by beating Dunfermline 1-0 at Firhill.

Aidan Fitzpatrick claimed the Jags’ 25th-minute winner, cutting in from the left to fire beyond visiting goalkeeper Billy Terrell.

Tony Watt went close to doubling the hosts’ advantage just before the hour mark when he clipped the left post.

Neil Lennon’s Dunfermline, who remain fifth, failed to register an attempt on target as they suffered a first defeat in four games.
