Partick Thistle scored four first-half goals as they thumped Edinburgh 4-1 in their Premier Sports Cup opener at Meadowbank Stadium.

After Cammy Logan and Robbie Crawford scored inside 10 minutes, Robert Mahon’s own goal for the hosts – after 23 minutes – made matter even worse for the League Two club.

Logan Chalmers made it 4-0 in the 40th minute, with Tiwi Daramola’s goal in first-half stoppage-time acting as a mere consolation for Edinburgh.
