Reeco Hackett scored twice and made another as second-placed Lincoln came from behind to thump Plymouth 4-1.

Striker Bim Pepple fired Argyle into a 12th-minute lead with a brilliant left-footed strike from outside the box, the ball skimming off the wet surface and flying past goalkeeper George Wickens, off both posts and in.

Lincoln levelled through Freddie Draper’s near-post header from Hackett’s superb 38th-minute cross following a corner from the right.

And Hackett scored with a superb left-footed shot from the right side of the area past diving keeper Luca Ashby-Hammond in the 53rd minute.

Three minutes later Jack Moylan nearly scored with an audacious shot from a narrow angle on the left which Ashby-Hammond managed to palm over the bar.

Hackett increased City’s lead by scoring direct from a 65th-minute corner from the right.

Wickens then made a brilliant one-handed save to deny Ronan Curtis after 77 minutes.

But substitute Ryan One broke from the halfway line to score a fine individual goal in the seventh minute of stoppage time to round off a fine win for Lincoln.
