Rochdale made it 12 wins from 15 games in the National League with a 3-1 victory over Boston.

Dale’s pressure told three minutes before the break when Devante Rodney pounced on a loose ball, but the forward missed the chance to make it two from the spot early in the second half, hitting the post with his penalty.

Tyler Smith bagged the first goal of his second spell at Rochdale in the 69th minute but Boston threatened a late comeback when Alex Lankshear netted with eight minutes left.

Zak Mills then hit the bar before Smith grabbed his second of the afternoon to secure the points.
