Rochdale kept up their National League promotion push with a 2-1 victory at Tamworth.

Jimmy McNulty’s side had stumbled slightly following their roaring start to the season but made it back-to-back wins on Saturday lunchtime at the Lamb Ground.

Kyron Gordon scrappily put Dale ahead in the 41st minute, with Emmanuel Dieseruvwe striking from the spot in the 71st minute to give them breathing space.

Dan Creaney pulled one back for Tamworth three minutes later but Andy Peaks’ men were unable to find a leveller.
