Rotherham finished thle season with a flourish as they came from behind to beat Peterborough 2-1 in Sky Bet League One.

Matt Hamshaw’s side made a nightmare start but goals from Sam Nombe and Cameron Humphreys helped them see out the season with three points and finish comfortably in mid-table.

Peterborough were ahead in 28 seconds with Abraham Odoh allowed to dribble into the area and then pick out the bottom corner.

The visitors threatened to double their lead when Gustav Lindgren beat the offside trap to go one-on-one with Dillon Phillips but his shot was kept out by the Millers’ goalkeeper.

Rotherham were level in the 36th minute when Nombe was on hand to turn in from close range after Louie Sibley’s effort had crashed off the underside of the bar.

The Millers went in front in the 66th minute with a well-worked corner as Joe Powell’s driven delivery was nodded in by Humphreys.

Wilks should have made it three when he was picked out by Sibley’s cross but his header was kept out by Will Blackmore, before Tayo Edun’s late effort rattled off the post for the visitors.
