Solihull returned to winning ways in the National League with a 2-0 win over struggling Morecambe.

After a draw and a loss in their last two matches, Jacob Wakeling went close twice in the opening stages for the Moors, who struck in the 18th minute when Conor Wilkinson fired home.

Lewis Payne had an effort cleared before the break and Wilkinson hit a post six minutes into the second half as Solihull looked to extend their lead.

Darius Lipsiuc made the points safe in the 77th minute as second-bottom Morecambe slipped to a fifth National League game without a win.
