Southend left it late as two stoppage-time goals gave them a 2-0 victory over Brackley in the Enterprise National League.

The hosts came close to a breakthrough in the first half but Andy Dallas’ goal was ruled out for offside.

Defender Ben Goodliffe headed over and on-loan Barnsley forward Dallas fired powerfully wide for the hosts after the break, with Morgan Roberts unable to finish off a good run and cross by Matt Lowe for the visitors.

Just when it looked like finishing goalless, substitute Leon Chambers-Parillon made the breakthrough in the fifth minute of time added on, before Dallas made sure of the points three minutes later.
