Stevenage and Doncaster looked like the two out-of-form sides they are as they toiled to a 0-0 draw in League One.

Boro, who stayed in the play-off places despite the point, are now four without success while Rovers are up to 10 league games without a victory.

The first half was most noteworthy because of the persistent rain that fell at Broadhall Way.

On the field there were only two chances that stayed long in the memory, the best of them for Doncaster’s Harry Clifton whose low effort from right of goal was kicked away by Filip Marschall.

Beryly Lubala had the Boro attempt but this one, also from a narrow angle, was straight at Thimothee Lo-Tutala.

The second period did at least see a bit more intensity, even if neither keeper was truly tested.

Doncaster had a low cross which fizzed across the face of the six-yard box while Boro substitute Phoenix Patterson had an attempt deflected behind for a corner.

Both managers did try and change it up from the bench but while the frantic nature of the game increased, the quality did not.
