Two goals in the space of three minutes from Manny Duku and Beck-Ray Enoru earned a 2-0 win that got Tamworth off the mark in the National League and left Truro City rooted to the foot of the table.
Duku headed the Lambs in front in the 23rd minute as he met a fine cross from Tyler Roberts.
Moments later Enoru doubled the advantage with a superb solo effort.
Tamworth continued to threaten with Roberts and Luke Fairlamb both going close to adding a third.
