A Tristan Abrahams goal and a Shawn McCoulsky penalty saw Maidenhead beat fellow National League strugglers Ebbsfleet 2-1.
Nathan Ferguson headed wide from Reece Smith’s early free-kick with the home side starting on the front foot, but goalkeeper Craig Ross had to be in the right place at the right time at the other end to deal with Dominic Poleon’s close-range shot.
Maidenhead keeper Mark Cousins denied Abrahams from close range on the half-hour, but the striker was not to be denied and he put the hosts ahead five minutes before the break with Smith the provider.
McCoulsky extended the home side’s advantage when he converted a 56th-minute spot-kick after being fouled inside the area, and then passed up a glorious opportunity to make it 3-0.
Ross saved from Wes Fonguck to deny Ebbsfleet a way back into the game, although he was finally beaten by Josh Wright in stoppage time.
