Ten-man Wealdstone slipped into the relegation places in the National League after suffering a 1-0 home defeat to Tamworth.

After a disappointing first half, the key moment arrived on 64 minutes when Wealdstone’s Max Kretzschmar was sent off for picking up two bookings in quick succession.

The visitors duly took advantage of their numerical advantage nine minutes later as Dan Creaney’s shot was blocked into the path of Beck-Ray Enoru to tap home from close range.

Tamworth captain Ben Milnes also hit the bar with a free-kick as his side ended their two-game winless streak.
