Will Flint scored twice to fire Gateshead to a 2-1 win over Tamworth.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who joined on loan from Doncaster this summer, grabbed his first senior goals.
He opened the scoring after 26 minutes and put Gateshead in control midway through the second half.
Tamworth pulled one back through Harvey Sawyer in stoppage time but slipped to their third defeat in four matches this season.
