Aaron Jarvis’ late penalty saw Yeovil record three successive wins for the first time in 18 months as they beat struggling Sutton 2-1 in the National League.

The last time the Glovers strung together three victories was when they were winning the National League South in April 2024 but a first win over their hosts in six attempts moved them up to eighth place.

Andrew Oluwabori celebrated his 24th birthday with Yeovil’s opener in the 51st minute but that was cancelled out by a brilliant strike from the edge of the area by Charlie Bell with 19 minutes remaining.

However, parity lasted just 10 minutes as Josh Sims’ cross struck the arm of a defender and Jarvis converted from the spot to extend Sutton’s winless run to seven matches.
