Yeovil got their first win of the new Enterprise National League as they beat Brackley 2-1 at Huish Park.

The Glovers – who had yet to score a goal in their opening two matches – went ahead in the 35th minute when Josh Sims tapped home at the back post from a deflected cross into the box.

Brackley forced Yeovil keeper Jed Ward into a smart save when he pushed away a low strike from Morgan Roberts following a short free-kick before Gaz Dean’s header was clear off the line late in the first half.

Ward then denied Bailey Hobson, but it was Yeovil who got another goal with six minutes left when Ben Wodskou struck on the counter attack before Saints substitute Tyler Lyttle grabbed a consolation for the visitors in added time.
